Best drone for travellers * ?!

NO !

These pictures show some detailed information concerning the "no sdcard" problem I ran into. This was the first problem, not the last one ...

I will update this review if I have new info to share. And here we go (for the last time ...) :

Verdict

Not any drone is really suitable for real travellers *. I tried 5 types in 10 years and they were all worthless, each in their own way. A (mini-) drone can easily cost you € 500 to € 1000 per year and this is why :

They have often serious software- and/or hardware-failures and those will most likely cost you your drone. They are also very costly to handle since you have to visit bars and hotels and have to wait (and consume) there 3 hours or even longer to have the batteries charged. Besides that video-editing really eats time and spoils your day(s).

* Travelling is not (at all) about taking your car to drive to a parkinglot to fly around somewhat. It is about handling your suitcase(s), bicycle, bicyclepanniers, solarpanel(s), powerbanks, guarding them

No more droning for me ...

Flying a drone is always a hassle and attracts very much very unwanted attention. And processing videos takes all day(s). As charging the batteries does.

I lost my Mini 2 drone

in june 2022 due to what I think was a batteryfailure. I got an unexpected return-to-home alarm while still 36% charge left and it drowned to 3% within 1 minute.

It actually only wanted to fly (fall) down, not horizontally anymore. I managed to fly it in my direction from some 400 meters until it was only some 50 meters away (according the app). Then it lost contact and (so) the find-function didn't function either anymore.

I searched for it for about 1 hour and once more the next day but I didn't find it. Some days after I dumped the controller plus the sparebatteries and spareparts.
